National Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority Renews Sudapost License and Approves Its Five-Year Plan

The National Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority has renewed the license of the Sudanese Postal Services Company (Sudapost) for the next five years, along with approving the five-year plan and the postal security strategy attached to the agreement.

Sudapost has developed a new plan that includes financial inclusion and digital transformation as key commitments to be implemented as part of the five-year strategy.

The agreement was signed at the Authority’s headquarters in Omdurman. Mr. Abubakr Mohammed Abdullah represented Sudapost, while Mr. Abubakr Essam represented the National Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority.

The meeting discussed ways to ensure the success of the plan, enhance postal infrastructure capabilities, develop information systems and technology, expand the geographical reach of postal services, and promote awareness of postal services alongside digital transformation.

It is worth noting that the National Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority is the Authorized Body for licensing companies operating in the postal sector under the 2018 law. Renewal of licenses requires the inclusion of a strategic plan in line with current phase requirements.
